TatraFitness has moved West! This is the new TatraFitness European HQ. It is in Mallnitz in Austria and easily reached by train from Salzburg and Klagenfurt airports. The HQ is based at 1200m. It backs on to the Hohe Tauren National Park, the largest park in Austria. There are several loop cycle rides from the house. The king of all loops is the 160km loop of the Grossglockner road, which rises to over 2500m while passing at the base of the Grossglockner, the highest mountain in Austria. The route is simply stunning. It is obvious why this road is the second most visited tourist attraction in Austria. See www.grossglockner.com for further details.
There are also a number of rides to 1700+m right next to the house, including the ride to the base station of the Molltaler Glacier at over 2000m. If you would rather mountain bike, then there are a vast number of MTB trails. In the winter you can ski at Angokel, Molltaler Glacier or Bad Gastein. However, Mallnitz is better known for ski touring in the Hohe Tauren national park. See www.mallnitz.at for further details of the resort.
